Winter Gardening

You might think that there’s nothing to do in the garden during the Winter as deciduous trees have lost their leaves, perennials have died back and many plants are looking quite sad. In fact, it’s a really important time for looking after what you have, as well as preparing your garden for the Spring and Summer.

Our Garden Care and Development teams are busy working in gardens across the county throughout this Winter and have put together some tips to help your garden get in shape – and help you stay fit in the process!

2022 – Our Pledge to Plant More Trees

Following in the footsteps of Her Majesty the Queen’s initiative to ‘Plant a Tree for the Jubilee’, GreenArt is also making 2022 The Year of the Tree. With the help of our customers and their gardens we have made a pledge to plant 2,022 trees over the next 12 months.

We all know just how important trees are for the planet as well as for our own well-being so GreenArt has made a commitment to make a positive impact by encouraging our clients to include native species of trees wherever possible in their garden design.

Backwards & Forwards

Well, another year nearly gone. The last three GreenArt Garden Design and Landscaping projects of the year are nearing completion and the Garden Care and Development team are working hard on clearing their gardens back to winter bare bones, ready for the oncoming Spring. Plans are well underway for 2022 and beyond with a lot of exciting work already in the diary.

Water, water, everywhere, but be sure to do it right!

We’re right in the middle of another Great British Summer so we of course should be expecting high temperatures and dry days. After a long, cold winter and a very late spring this year, the summer heat has been exceptional and even though you and I might be loving sitting out in the sunshine or preparing a steak for the barbeque, our gardens need to be managed at this time of year just as much as at other times.
