Chelsea Flower Show 2017

Neither George or I could make it to the Chelsea Flower Show this year so we asked our client Nicola, who despite having recently broken her foot and being confined to a wheelchair, braved the crowds to give us her very own report. As a lady who knows what she likes, this is what she said.

“I thoroughly enjoyed my day at Chelsea (Trevor not so much as he had to wheel me around in my wheelchair all day, so he was rather exhausted)! To be quite honest I had hoped to see more inspirational gardens. Perhaps we’ve just been a bit spoilt with what you’ve done as there were a considerable amount of plants and flowers that we could tick off, as you’d already put them in our garden! The makings of a great team

As part of our plans to grow GreenArt and make it the best garden design and landscaping outfit in Oxfordshire, we’ve welcomed two new members to the team this month; Luke as a Trainee Landscaper and Suzy as Operations Support Administrator. We’ll let you know how they’re getting on once they’ve had a chance to settle in. In the meantime, we thought we’d introduce John who joined us last year. John shows that you don’t have to have any experience to join our team, just a positive and enthusiastic attitude, willingness to learn and work hard.

Container gardening – grand designs on a small scale

I recently treated myself to a day at the Cotswold Gardening School to refresh my skills in Container Gardening and get some inspiration from Caroline Tatham, the award-winning designer and lecturer. I certainly achieved both goals with the added bonus of rekindling my love of art and the works of the Impressionist painters in particular – more of that later.
