Since they started GreenArt in 2009, George and Jo Smith have worked closely with all their clients to design and build gardens that add value to their homes as well as improving the quality of their lives. GreenArt also supply a handpicked collection of beautiful garden pots and planters designed to enhance your garden by giving it that wow factor and perfect finishing touches.
Whether its building a safe and accessible garden to enjoy in retirement, or designing a fun, family outdoor space or a sophisticated, contemporary garden for entertaining, the whole team at GreenArt take great pride in their work. Using top quality plants and materials and building to rigorous landscaping industry standards, George and Jo manage every project closely to give clients complete peace of mind, from the initial design stage right through to completion of their dream garden.
Our History
As a Lancashire lad, George Smith’s love of the outdoors, wildlife and a passion for drawing led him to study Environmental Science and Landscape Design at University. But it was his ability to turn his creative ideas and vision for outdoor spaces into reality, using his practical skills and love of plants, that gave him the foundation for building a garden design and landscaping business.
After having run landscaping businesses in Lancashire and Berkshire for over 15 years, George settled in Oxfordshire with his wife Jo and their two children. GreenArt was established in 2009, with George initially working from their home in Aston Upthorpe.
As demand grew for George’s designs and landscaping expertise, additional staff were brought onboard to build his gardens and so Jo left her career in corporate PR and Marketing to work full time on the business. Now, based in Wallingford, they have a large design studio and office to meet with clients and purpose-built facilities to support an ever growing team of over 20 landscapers and gardeners. The business has continued to grow and now boasts a multiskilled team of landscapers, gardeners, design team, hr and office administration.
