Horticultural Specialist – up to £34,000 p.a.*
At least a Level 3 RHS, City & Guilds or Degree level qualification in horticulture and a real depth of knowledge and hands-on practical experience of developing and maintaining private or estate gardens is required. This will have given you a high level of plant knowledge, and the ability to design planting schemes to meet customer requirements.
This position complements and develops our landscape gardening team providing vision, expert advice, and planting schemes to our customers, all delivered with horticultural best practice.
In particular you will:
- Design, specify, provide quotations for and source planting schemes and maintain all necessary records of agreed projects, plant stocks and availability.
- Work with our Garden Designer and Landscape Gardeners to create new planting schemes and develop long-term plans for our clients’ gardens.
- Develop your supplier relationships and negotiate pricing and availability to identify and source the very best plants and trees, using local suppliers wherever possible.
- Develop, implement and monitor Company standards and best practice across all horticultural practices in close collaboration with the Directors, Landscape Gardening Supervisor and Landscape Gardeners.
